The rules are great for many reasons! Whether you’re tweaking an existing design to pixel perfection, or creating a design template for social media posts, the rules will help you do it faster.
However, if your rulers are in the wrong units of measurement, that’s a problem!
Here’s how to change the ruler units in Illustrator from one type to another.
This is how it is done:
- Open your Illustrator project
- Make sure that the rules are visible (Command + R on Mac, Control + R on PC).
- Right-click on any of the rulers at the top left edge of the canvas and choose the correct units from the drop-down menu
