Rearranging artboard locations is often a necessary part of working in Illustrator – but how do you do it?
As you work on larger and more complicated projects, creating, resizing and moving artboards around the canvas will likely become a regular part of your workflow.
As with most tasks in Illustrator, figuring out how to do it the first time can be frustrating, but with a little practice, moving artboards around will become second nature.
Here’s how to do it:
- Open your Illustrator project file
- In the left toolbar, select the worktable tool (shift-O).
- Click anywhere in the center of your work table and drag it to the desired location.
- With the workbench tool you can also grab the four edges or corners of your workbench to resize it if necessary.
